After serving for two decades (2004–2024) as the President & CEO of the United States–Algeria Business Council (USABC) in Washington, D.C., Mr. Smail Chikhoune played a pivotal role in strengthening trade relations between the United States and Algeria. Under his leadership, USABC, a private nonprofit trade organization, facilitated business opportunities by organizing sector-specific symposia on key industries and hosting events that connected Algerian and American companies.

Mr. Chikhoune was instrumental in promoting American businesses across various sectors in Algeria while also creating pathways for Algerian entrepreneurs and farmers to explore opportunities in the United States.

Prior to his tenure at USABC, Mr. Chikhoune served as President & CEO of California Green Valley, Inc., based in San Francisco, California. The company specialized in exporting high-quality agricultural products from California to international markets and provided expertise in establishing dairy farms.

Recently, Mr. Chikhoune founded a private corporation, American AgriTech Products & Equipment, dedicated to advancing agricultural technology. The company offers a comprehensive range of cutting-edge agricultural solutions designed to enhance efficiency, maximize yields, and improve profitability. Its product portfolio includes tractors, planting machinery, harvesting equipment, irrigation systems, and precision farming technologies.
